This allows the pipe angle to be changed. I placed this mounting plate eighteen inches from the juice end of the pan.

The dampers along the bottom did not affect the performance of the burner and I recommend they be omitted. Four holes for the mounting brackets are drilled along the horizontal center axis of the burner hole. Two are for alignment pins the other two for the mounting bolts. The nuts for these bolts are welded to the inside of the mounting plate. This allows the burner to be removed without disturbing the pan. One end of the turnbuckle is attached to the bottom center of the plate. The other end will be attached to the burner pipe. This turnbuckle controls the vertical angle of the burner. The insulation is attached to the inside of the plate using high temperature adhesive.

Two 3/8 inch bolts with the heads removed are attached to the six inch pipe 6 ¼ inches from the intake end. These will be inserted in the mounting brackets before they are bolted to the steel plate.
