Patterson family sorghum cooking.

Our operation is a family affair and we produce an average of 100 gallons per year. The syrup is for our own use and to share with friends. We are located in Floyd County near Rome Georgia.

We built a new furnace this year and converted to cooking with propane.   Cooking on the new furnace and new pan.   Testing the syrup by watching as it drips from a skimmer.

Helping the juice along in the last two bars as it is finished into sorghum syrup. The   As the syrup is poured into the cooling tank it is filtered one last time.   Filling the jars.
